About us

Paideia Expert Training is a European learning organisation based in Thessaloniki, in Northern Greece, and also active in Kassandra, Chalkidiki. It brings together experienced trainers and educators who work with adults, young people and school communities, as well as with visiting educators from across Europe, and it coordinates their work as a single team. From the first design of a programme to its evaluation, the organisation relies on learner-centred, experiential and practice-oriented methods that support professional growth, innovation and lifelong learning.

Paideia is a multi-level provider that works across four fields of education within one organisation. We run workshops for adults, learning activities for young people and educational programmes for schools and pupils, and we also deliver courses and training for European educators. These four fields are closely connected. They share the same methodology and the same team, and the experience gained in each one feeds back into the others.

Our adult education workshops form a substantial part of this work. They are designed as practical learning interventions for adults of different ages, social backgrounds and educational paths, with the shared aim of strengthening basic skills, social and digital inclusion, personal development and access to learning. Across eight workshops, the themes cover career management, functional English, leadership and team management, mindfulness and wellbeing, cultural heritage and active participation, the empowerment of people with disabilities, creative expression for older adults and the everyday use of artificial intelligence. The workshops reach audiences that are often left without organised support, among them the long-term unemployed, older adults, carers, people with disabilities, residents of small and remote areas and people with a migrant background. All of them follow the principles of adult education, with experiential and practical methods adapted to each group, and they conclude with a certificate of attendance for participants who take part in at least eighty percent of the sessions.

Alongside this, we design educational programmes for pupils in primary education and for students in secondary education and at university, together with dedicated learning activities for young people. This direct contact with learners of every age keeps our work grounded in real classrooms and current educational practice.

Paideia is also a host organisation for visiting educators from across Europe. We deliver structured courses, tailor made ones and job shadowing and training for teachers, trainers and staff whose organisations take part in Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (KA1) mobility. Through guided activities and local immersion, participants develop intercultural competence, European awareness and inclusive educational perspectives, and they return home with ideas and methods they can apply in their own settings. Committed to the European dimension of education, we encourage international networking and learning partnerships that support the exchange and dissemination of good practice, both at organisational and at personal level.

Behind every programme stands an organised team. A general management function is responsible for strategic planning, the development of partnerships and the oversight of daily operation, while a dedicated Erasmus+ team works with clearly assigned roles for coordination, communication, participant preparation, evaluation and dissemination. Each field is staffed by trainers with relevant expertise, including adult trainers, youth trainers, school educators and the teacher trainers who lead our courses for visiting educators. Quality assurance runs through the selection of trainers, the design of each workshop and the management of educational material. We also work closely with the University of Thessaly on evaluation and research, so that academic research expertise and our practical insight from the field strengthen each other and raise the quality of our programmes.

OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose is simple and constant. We place quality, inclusion and lifelong learning at the centre of our work, for the learners we teach and for the educators we host from across Europe.
